The Holy Spirit and the Preacher challenges all those who preach God’s Word to keep their focus where the Bible puts it: in dependence upon the Holy Spirit to guide their sermon selection, development, and delivery. This is far from “professionalizing” preaching, but rather emphasizes the underlying dependence so necessary for effective pulpit ministry. There is a brief exposition of the Holy Spirit’s person and work; His ministry in illumination, “filling,” and power; and finally, strong exhortation to know more of the Holy Spirit in practice. May the Lord use this booklet to urge preachers to seek and find the full blessing of the Holy Spirit on their labors.
