Saint Maximillian Kolbe: Martyr of Charity

A new biography of the famous martyr of the death camps. The Franciscan priest-martyr Maximilian Kolbe died at Auschwitz in 1941. This interpretative biography is based upon his writings and first-hand testimonies from people who knew him. Many of these witnesses the author himself has known and interviewed, including the man for whom Fr. Kolbe sacrificed his life, Franciszek Gajowniczek.
