From the author - "It would be presumptuous for anyone to claim authorship for a book about God. To write about God in any authentic or meaningful sense is ultimately the result, not of our own ingenuity or ability or scholarship, but of His grace. What we say must be derived from what He has said . . . and how He has said it. Otherwise we could say nothing, for we would know nothing. Consequently, to write about God, we must be “in touch” with God, whose Spirit leads as His Word is received and studied and shared by His people. We must also pray, for what we write about God is given integrity only in that relationship with Him as our God and our Father in which prayer finds its most meaningful answer."
