Book 3 in the Stargazer series
The secret she knows has been erased from his memory.
Dr. Cassiopeia Anderson can't help the feelings she fights for her newest Stargazer charge. Not only is a relationship between a doctor and patient impossible, but Hayze 1246 is completely inappropriate, has no filter, and is missing key elements of Earth manners and culture. He's tempting with his shocking flirtation—but broken—because Cassio knows a secret about her gorgeous charge. Hayze is the only Stargazer who has already had his once-in-a-lifetime mate. There can be no other.
Hayze 1246 knows the human doctor belongs to him. He isn't sure how or why; he simply knows she is. He'd chosen to have certain memories of a previous life erased during the long stasis trip to Earth, and while he can't imagine why he'd have chosen such an extreme route, he's going to focus on this life and coerce the human doctor into dropping her reservations regarding what she deems her inappropriate feelings toward him. He knows, deep in his heart, that he wants her as his mate.
In 1692, a starship carrying volunteers arrived on planet Earth to a small town called Salem, Massachusetts. The long journey across many light years caused the female inhabitants aboard drastic memory loss. It was already known when they would arrive on Earth, they would have no memories of who and what they really were. They would be as helpless as newborn lambs.
Their goal was to breed with Earthlings, to prevent their own race from dying out. If it was successful, years later more Stargazers would be sent to co-exist with the humans on Planet Earth.
But alas—the females were slaughtered.
