About the author
Dr Michael J Brown, BA, MA, PhD has taught Math and Math teachers in Universities and
high schools during an extensive career.
His PhD was gained at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln NE.
He is the author or co-author of a number of high school texts and a Math dictionary published in Australia. He has a particular interest in gifted education.
The development of this book resulted from his realization that many students, especially from non-English speaking backgrounds, need a full understanding of the language of Math as well as Math content.
His experience is that; once the student understands what is being asked they can solve the problem.
