Grade nine students at Alliance High School wrote historical fiction short stories on the Enlightenment. These stories are an introduction into the achievements of a few great Enlightenment leaders, making their lives accessible to a young reading audience. Students wrote from the perspective of their fictional character who interacted with an Enlightened philosopher or liberating general during a momentous event. Although some students worked alone a majority worked in collaborative partnerships. All artwork on the pages was student created. As their teacher I am very proud of the time and effort that the students took to create these books. I am also very appreciative of the work that Jon Smith, Alliance High School’s Technology Director, committed to spearheading this historical fiction project. A special thanks goes out to Reggie Wooten for designing the cover.
Thank you,
