Heinrich Hoffmann (Jun 13, 1809 - Sep 20, 1894) was a German psychiatrist and author of some short works of literature, most notable of which is Der Struwwelpeter, a book with illustrations depicting kids misbehaving. Hoffmad had a practice of his own, worked for a clinic for poor people and taught anatomy at the Senckenberg Foundation. As a writer he worked mostly authored children’s literature, but also wrote satire and mature poetry. He was an active member of several public organizations, such as Mozart Foundation.
