Abbie Farewell Brown (21 August 1871 – 5 March 1927) was an American writer, who is best-known by her children stories, such as “The Lonesomest Doll” (1901), “The Flower Princess” (1904), “John of the Woods” (1909), and “The Lucky Stone” (1914).. She was born in a creative family of Benjamin F. Brown, who was a descendant of Isaac Allerton. Also, Her sister Ethel became an author and illustrator under the name Ann Underhill.
