Edward Gibbon (1737-1794) was a famous English historian who is most know for ‘The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire’. Gibbon was born in London but he appeared to be a keen traveller visiting all the most important places of Europe. Despite of his letterer fame Gibbon was criticized for his view upon christianity.
