James Baldwin (1841-1925) was an American editor and author. Gained the world popularity as one of the most prolific authors of school books for children at the end of the last century and the beginning of this. Became famous and widely published textbook editor and children's author in the subjects of legends, mythology, biography, and literary, among others.

Horatius Cocles was an officer in the army of the ancient Roman Republic who valiantly defended the bridge named Pons Sublicius from the invading army of Lars Porsena, king of Clusium in the late 6th century BC, during the war between Rome and Clusium.
