This is a non-technical introduction to Physics, targeted at students of the Arts and Humanities. Specifically it is designed for students enrolled in PHYS1905 at Carleton University, but most of the material is universal. It takes a very different approach to the topic by asking questions and then filling in the necessary physics on a "need to know" basis. There are few equations and almost no derivations. I look at some topics, such as philosophy of science, lightning, timid travel and the Higgs boson in far more detail that most text-books do, so it can be seen as supplementary to a more conventional book.
