Physical Chemistry for the Biological Sciences is a textbook designed for a one-semester physical chemistry course to be taken by those students interested in careers in the biological sciences, or planning to enter medical or dental schools. Those students planning to obtain advanced degrees in biochemistry are advised to take a two-semester physical chemistry course for chemistry majors, but may also find this book useful. Every attempt has been made to keep the text mathematically rigorous, but delightfully understandable. When possible, biological examples have been used to illustrate physical chemical principles. Chapters include many worked out problems and an index. This text is highly recommended as a supplement to any physical chemistry course.
