The 2014 Martin Popoff short ebook about the making of the ZZ Top album, Fandango!.
ZZ Top’s first great album was Tres Hombres, but 1975’s Fandango! coughed up what is perhaps the band’s greatest full side, namely Nasty Dogs And Funky Kings, Blue Jean Blues, Balinese, Mexican Blackbird, Heard It On The X and Tush. The other side was live, making for a weird one, but all is explained in conversation with Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, who are always spinning yarns. Note: this is an expanded version of a chapter from Ye Olde Metal: 1973 To 1975, so if you have that book, you have most of this rock document.
