Description

This novel combines the story of the beautiful, small town of Cave Spring nestled in Vann’s Valley near Rome, GA, and the people who settled it. It was a Cherokee Village in the early 1800’s before the white man, Armistead Richardson, found the area around 1829, made friends with the Indians, and helped to found the town in 1832. Cave Spring is the home of the Georgia Deaf School founded in 1844. Cave Spring is historically significant as the orgin of the Trail of Tears, a beautiful park with a cave, and a cold, clear spring which flows over a million gallons of pure water daily. Live the years with some of the pioneer families from the early 1800’s through the Civil War years and beyond.
