In the early 1990s, 19-year-old Hunter is kicked out of his father's house after coming out as gay, leaving him homeless and adrift. Struggling to survive on the streets, he stumbles into Johnny's Diner, where he meets Stevee, a charismatic 21-year-old college jock working part-time to pay for school. Stevee offers Hunter kindness in the form of a meal, but their connection quickly deepens into a tentative friendship.
As Stevee helps Hunter navigate the harsh realities of homelessness, Hunter begins to let his guard down, revealing pieces of his traumatic past. In turn, Stevee starts to question his own assumptions about love and identity, finding himself drawn to Hunter in ways he doesn't fully understand...
