Orpheus is the twelfth book in the Early Myths collection, and tells the myth of a musician who holds magical powers over nature and people. Orpheus falls in love but through a tragic accident loses his partner and must travel deep into the Underworld to try to persuade Hades to allow him to bring his wife home once again.
