Riding a weekend dirt bike can be such an enjoyable pastime. Hours of exhilaration and fun can be regularly experienced on your bike. However there is also a responsibility to care and maintain your investment.
There are several easy checks that should be performed before riding your motorcycle each time. This will help you by not having to pay out for expensive repairs through lack of maintenance. Most of the checkpoints are quite simple and easy as just knowing what to do, like brake pads for example, check calipers for pad wear. Tires are another easy one. Use a tire pressure gauge and depending on application, (road or off-road) set the pressure to your bike specifications, don’t forget how much life is left in your tires as well.
One of the most common area’s that gets neglected is the air filter. Once dirt passes through the air filter it comes into contact with engine components and will cause damage and possibly engine failure, thats why we’ve made an extra effort to demonstrate how to clean your filter correctly. We hope the following pages help you maintain your bike better and therefore allow you more time to have fun.
ENJOY!
