Learning with LoCAD - How computers work

Description

This introductory course is for those who want to learn about the basic principles and working methods of a data processing system on the hardware level in a simple, almost playful way. Used in connection with the LoCAD app, this course book teaches the basics of digital technology and enables even non-technicians to easily build logical circuits - without soldering iron and the associated disappointments and costs - and to understand the functionality of basic electronic circuits (subassemblies) of computers.

Through hands-on handling of digital circuits you will learn that digital technology is relatively easy to understand. Starting from simple basic circuits, you will build up ever more complex circuits that contain the essential functional units of a computer, and discover how they interact.

The circuits shown are available for download on the website www.khloch.de in the menu item DownloadsCircuits. For circuits containing more than nine elements, the full version of LoCAD is required.

If the LoCAD app is installed and your computer is connected to the internet, you can also access the circuits directly via the link open in LoCAD.
