The first time I read this book I was 27 and I wondered why no one had given me the advice contained here. Like most young men, my adult life was still taking shape but I knew that my character needed some attention. So, when my pastor recommended this book from the pulpit as “a must read for every young man,” I ordered a copy immediately. I’ve read it several times since and its words, over 100 years old, still connect with me like those of a father.
