The story of Apollonius and King Antiochus took several twists throughout history (3rd century BC/AD to the present day). As it traveled through the ages it was dressed to the likes and tastes of the day. Names changed so often that the actual ones were completely lost, all except some place names and characters. From the eastern Mediterranean to Greece to Rome to London, the story was clothed in new colors, but it kept its main theme: that sin is punished and virtue is rewarded.
The translation from the Old English, Anglo-Saxon, into modern English kept pace with the origin as much as possible in favor of the style of writing in those days.
Illustrations and photos were added to give a touch of reality to the events and characters.
