Maggie's running from a dangerous ex-husband with the attitude that if he can't have her, no one can. Matt's running away, too, hoping a new beginning will help him get on with his life without the woman he loves. Trouble seems to follow Maggie though, and as the small town sheriff Matt has his hands full. Their attraction to one another only complicates things and as passion explodes between them Maggie's ex shows up, threatening their happiness and both their lives.
